Yes, I think I remember reading not too long ago that one of the Panasonics has this feature. Do some research there until you find which model it is. Then tell us too

Actually, as I recall, direct digital output (I don't know if a conditional digital rights management scheme could overturn this but keep in mind that the modern concept of DRM came after DVD) of a DVD (e.g., firewire) is forbidden in the design of a DVD player...
