Am i going to see any differnce in quality if i record my vhs tapes to my digital camcorder (with tbc) then use my digital camcorder to capture and make SVCD/DVD-R??
Just curious if i will see a dramatic difference or what?
Thanks

downer,
most likely not, but I have found (IMO) that the transfer from VHS to DV
cam (on mine anyways) is sometimes a little better. Not the quality, but
the jumpyness - it's sometimes lesser than if I had captured it direclty w/
my capture card.
However, I also have a DC10+ card, and this card does (IMO) a little bit
better than a regular capture card ie, ATW, WTVGO etc.
Also, the content also makes a difference as well in the capture (or transfer,
if using DV)
I have found, some TV recording I did, came out better at time, and worse
at time when comparing store bought videos.
So, bare that in mind to, when you see it looks good on some but not on
others.
Other issues to consider, but I'll stop at this point.
Just go and give it a try, unless you don't have access to it just yet.
Why don't you just try it and see for yourself.
good luck.
