SmartRipper doesnt work with Pioneer DVD ROM 106s

I'm running Windows XP Pro, Pentium 3 450 mhz, Pioneer 106s slot loading dvd rom drive. When I open smartripper and click on the opening dialog box, normally(on my other pc) it reads all the files and I begin ripping and it all works fine. On the Pioneer drive, I get an error that says some files are still locked, try unlocking again. I have already tried the drive in the other pc that works with a delta dvd drive, the pioneer did not work there either. I already set the region in windows to 1. I have the same "settings" within smartripper on both machines. The same ones on the walkthrough here at vcdhelp.com. Is it just an incompatibility with the drive? Suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Run the movie in Powerdvd for a few moments, before using Smartripper, then you will not have this problem.
