  1. Ok, so I download a mpg from the net and when I play it, MP shows the total length as like 5 mins - supposed to be 1.5 hours.

The file is 800+ megs. And if I play with the progress bar, I can jump thruout the whole 1.5 hour movie. But, it will only continue to play for a few mins - until the progress bar gets to the psuedo end (aka 5 min mark).

I tried having VCDGear and MPEG-Corrector fix it with no luck - the end result is the same.

But, if I load it into FlaskMPEG, it will play (preview) the whole 1.5 hours movie just fine. I'd rather not have to lose even more quality by re-encoding with FlaskMPEG (double compression), though.

Is there any tool I can use to fix this problem?

Its happened to me with a few different movies over the years - so Im sure its just bad encoding.

    TIA!

    Ahhhk!

  2. Try remultiplexing your MPEG with bbMPEG or TMPGEnc...

Thanks for the reply. I tried that and when TMPGEnc de-multiplex'd, the video (m1v) file it created was only like 80 megs.
