  1. How to you compress the audio from a single video file. I have Monsters Inc. and the sound is off by a few seconds. Am I correct to compress the audio and use the video seperate when I convert it to .avi when the sound is off by a few seconds. I am presently using VirtualDub, I don't know if you can do it in VirtualDub. Sorry for the not so clear post.

    You don't say what kind of file it is?.
    If its already an AVI or DIVX you may want to do this and use the WAV audio file when encoding with TMPGE:
