Being a Trek fan I was looking for a better way to make SVCD's from the DVD's. I discovered that you can open the vob file from the DVD in Tmpeg and encode it. You do need to rip each episode as one large file because Tmpeg can only open one file, but this is not a problem since each episode is about 2GB's. Use what ever template you like,I think you will be very pleased with the results. Also I find that setting Tmpeg in Non-inerlaced mode produces sharper image quality.
