  1. is there a way to extract audio from an MPG file and save it as a WAV file? i know its possible with AVI files by using VirtualDub. but for MPG files, how?

    With TMPGEnc. Load your video into the video input. Select File-->
    Output to File-->AVI File. Select your fliename, codecs, select Save and voilá!
