  1. Is there any way to add chapters to a VCD/SVCD image which has already had the bin/cue files created without extracting the dat and then creating a new bin/cue file.

  2. As long as you have your source file and source XML descriptor file still around then, yes.

You can add chapters by manually editing the XML file using the principles outlined here: http://www.vcdimager.org/guides/chapters.html

Otherwise, you should use VCDXRIP (one of the tools in the VCDImager suite of proggies) to extract everything out of the CUE/BIN image and then edit the XML file as detailed above.

You can use VCDXRIP as the command line tool or use a GUI for it (e.g., VCDImager Tools GUI or VCDEasy).

  3. I only have the cue / bin file .. no xml file.
Could you confirm there is no way to add chapter by editing the cue file other than to use extracting tools like VCDXrip and then recreating with VCDEasy or TSCV.

    ???

  4. Yes, you definitely cannot add chapters without reauthoring the CUE/BIN image... There is nothing you can do to the cuesheet that will change this.
