I have a MPEG that is 400x304 (29.970)-- Nero says its not VCD1 compliant (obviously), do I need to convert this to vcd using tmpgen? or can I ignore the warning..
I also got a question on interlacing-- As a general rule, videos that I download from internet in whatever form, should I leave source as non-interlaced? What would happen if I tell it interlaced (I read the guides and still confused).
And 2 guides on here have a different thought on the output aspect ratio (Video arrange method). If I want to keep the original aspect of my video when I encode it, Do I choose Full screen(keep aspect ratio) or Center(keep aspect ratio)
Thanks in Advance to those who can help..

if you have problems or not depends on your desktop dvd player. but i think you will be fine if you ignore the warning.
most, if not all, avi's downloaded off the internet or non interlaced. not sure what would happen if you choose interlaced on a non-interlaced video. some interlaced video for download show up in the form of mpeg
for the final Q, full screen-keep aspect ratioWhere I walk, I walk alone. Where I fight, I fight alone.
