  1. I know this has been asked before, but I was wondering if anyone knows how to encode asf to mpg because the tmpgenc program doesn't do it. My copy just freezes up. If anyone knows any alternate programs or ways around it freezing up pls reply. Thanks for you help

  2. think i installed the nimo codec pack and was able to encode asf flicks afterward with tmpgenc. ill verify after i get home from work.

  4. TMPG will work... just transcode the video only from the asf file. You will have to record the sound seperately and then re-combine.

    I had the same problem. first make sure u have a good file then read the problems section in this aricle.
    it does work
    u have to open it in virtualdub 1.3 and save the sound as wav then use TMPG
