Use VFAPI to framserve to CCE from TMPEG.
Here's how I do it.
1. Open file with Tmpeg using a std template and resize
(clip frame) to remove edge noise etc.
2. Set arrange method (in clip frame) to Center>Custom Size
and play around with the values till you get a satisfactory
picture (not squashed or stretched).
3. Now save project (*.tpr)
4. Open this file in VFAPI and convert(takes a few seconds).
5. Open the vfapi output in CCE. Set video to mpeg1 cbr 1150kbps
and audio to 224kbps stereo.
6. Hit encode and you should have a VCD compliant files within
40 mins. or so. -
thsnks for the help m8
just one more question
1. how do i save as *.tpr. i can only save as *.mcf -
it might be easier, and will definitely be quicker, to use AVIsynth to frameserve your files to CCE
--especially if all you need to do is resize--just 2 lines in your script, and it's done. you'll see a speed increase using avisynth vs. vfapiwhat are you askin' me for...
I'm an idiot! -
i have used Vfapi and it has encoded a new avi. the problem is both CCE and TMPGenc reports an error that the file is curupt?
