  1. ok hey folks....im kinda new to this burning and decoding thing.

    but as far as i know and ive practiced all this b4 burning a full legnth mpeg to vcd to play on dvd player/tv.

    anyways whats the difference if you...and i think this is much easier and faster....just use TMPGEnc and load the video/avi ur going to decode and change quality to highest and do the vid and sound at the same time.

    beats doing the sound seperate using the virtualdub

    do it all together and BAM your done

    really only need virtual for resizing the vid if u have too

    does this decoding way work 4 any1 else?

  2. Thats fine if the audio stream in your avi file is'nt a variable bit rate mp3. If it is and you don't save the audio uncompressed the sound will be out of sync in your encoded mpeg.

    If you open the avi in vdub and it does'nt give a VBR audio warning then ok. If it does give a warning you need to save the audio as a wav file.
