Batch conver/recompress avi to avi

I'm trying to recompress alot of avi files to save space on my hd. Naturally, I want to batch recompress them. Any Programs or settings in programs i perhaps don't know about that would let me do this? Currently using Virtual Dub.

I use virtualdub also and you can batch convert but you gotta load and save to batch for each file. Kinda stupid i know, i feel your pain. Sure would be nice if once you set the filters you could just drop files into the batch process window. If you do find a program with the filtering capabilities of virtualdub that does do true batch processing, drop me an email.
