when i ripped my dvd with clad dvd and used dvd2avi i get lines every time a scene changes can someone please help![]()

Do some research on interlacing, hybrid films, and force film.
This should provide you with more than enough information to keep you busy for a while. -

press f5 to get dvd2avi's info box to show up.....it should tell u the video type...since you say u have horizontal interlaced lines, i'm guessing the video type should be NTSC, or some high percentage of NTSC (even as little as 15% NTSC, which means 85% FILM, can cause lines)
in that case, turn off force film in dvd2avi, and in tmpgenc, encode at 29.97 fps + interlaced (NO 3:2 pulldown)
or you can IVTC
