  1. Can the Sony DRU500A burn ps2? Have anyone tried this yet? I know you could burn ps2 DVD with the A-104 using primo dvd? Also, will primo dvd work with the Sony DRU500A?

  2. Well i dont have my Burner yet...(Stupid Dell)...but from what i have heard it can, you might want to take a look at the Forums at www.ps2ownz.com, has lots of stuff on PS2 and plenty of post on the DRU500A concerning game backups.

  4. as long as it can burn DVD-R, PS2 isn't a prob. remember to get a proper mod-chip also (such a pain, not like PS1 or X-Box).

    Yup, they are annoying.
Im planning on getting a Magic 2 no swap mod chip put in my PS2 next week. I heard it's the best chip so far.

I have a Magic2 in my system and it works great. Only problem is that it won't play import games (the back-up of import games they can play). I had to get mines professionally installed because of the 23 wires to solder. I haven't tried to burn PS2 games on the DRU-500A yet because I just got it. I use to burn PS2 games with the Sony DRU-120A using RecordNow Max 4.1 but I've been reading that this version won't work with the DRU-500A. I'll follow up and see if this drive will work with burning PS2 games when I figure things out.

  8. There is a Magic 2 for V1 machines. And now there will be Magic 3 very soon. www.modchip.ca, and checkout www.china-magic.com for info.
