  1. Hi i have done some research but i still can't get a good copy of friends.

The dvd had 2 sides. 4 eps on each side. is there a way to keep everything the same but only smaller vob files.

i made the vobs smaller with Tmpegenc but then the vob id's are gone. So the original menu doesn;t work properly.

Can somebady give me the best method to get al the episodes on 1 disc

I am sorry if this topic is answered before of it isn't good to read.

    Thanxx in advantage

Friends DVD's are dual-sided single-layer discs. Why don't you just use smartripper to backup each side of the DVD and then burn to 2 separate DVDR's.

You need to author the transcoded file in a DVD authoring program. I use SpruceUp to author transcoded Star Trek episodes and it works quite well.

  6. You could use VOBEDIT (same site as IFOEDIT) and merge the 2 vob sets into 1 (tutorial here). Just make sure to follow the tutorial exactly (use the filenames that Derrow uses).

Once you have merged the vob sets, you will need to transcode it in order to fit it on 1 DVD-R. Unfortunately, this technique will require you to create your own menu. Since the original DVD was 2-sided, I would assume that each side has it's own unique menu. I don't see how you could combine the 2 menus.
