  1. Ok I gave up on re-encoding this movie, its only 91 mins long so i figured i would just burn it and worry about re-encoding when i had a movie i needed it for.

UGH !! Still no go here is what i did

ripped entire movie to a video_ts dir on hd with dvd decrypter
used ifoedit on the vts_07.ifo file (main movie ifo) and the vob extras button, selected strip streams, gave it a differnt destination director, checked create new vts files check box. Hit ok, told it to only rip audio stream 1 and leave all other audio and all subtitles behind.

Poof i have a directory with the movie with just english ac3 audio, rename the folder video_ts burn with nero. plays fine in my dvd+r drive but will not play in my dvd-rom or either of my standalone dvd players. (my players are dvd+r compatable my first dvd+r was a home-made avi that i burned to a disc with mydvd and it played fine in all 4 drives). So i thought ok people have complained about nero so maybe thats the problem, so i go and get recordnow max 4.1 which has gotten pretty good reviews, burn another dvd+r same thing !! It will not play in anything but the dvd+r drive. What am i missing ? Is there something else i need to burn besides the video_ts directory ? If i use ifoedit on the main movie it plays using the dvdplay button .. help !!

  2. After you are finished stripping with IFOEDIT, make sure that you click the "Get VTS Sectors" button before closing IFOEDIT (or open IFOEDIT again and open the VIDEO_TS.IFO file in the new stripped folder and click the button).

ok this time i used get_vts same problem .. the only thing left it could be is the file system format (would this keep it from playing in any other drive ?).

I originaly burned with joliet which i learned was a big nono, this last one i burned with udp, no better results tho. I am using recordnow max which has about 8 differnt possible formats to burn with 3 differnt iso ones, joliet and 2-3 udp ones. what format exactly do i use ?

  4. If never used RecordNow MAX, but it is the newer version of PrimoDVD (which I do use). Try this tutorial by Derrow.

  5. Are you keeping the orignal menu? If do have you copied all the titles that ifoedit played from the original rip cause this caused my major hassle at the start. Make sure you have the vts_xX_0.vob from your main movie files. And also you r creating an empty AUDIO_TS folder when burning the dvd players are very picky about that. Atleast in my xperience.
