  1. Number One-- Does TPMGEnc take forever to convert a divx file to mpeg? I'm talking like an hour for a 80 minute cd, is this normal?

Also when I try to covert the audio from a divx to WAVE using VirtualDub, do I have to name the file with a .wav in file name box? Because when I just type in file name to be saved and the lower box says it is saving as a wav file it comes up with an unknown file.. Also real quick on that note-- if I have an avi thats not DIVX do I still need to convert the audio?

Just started this 2day, and VCD and SVCD's I downloaded from web (already encoded) play great on this 50 dollar apex ad1200, just trying to get some converting tips..

    Thanks all who respond..

    1. Yes, that is normal for conversion. It also depends on what settings, resolution, CPU usage, etc.

    2. If you get an unknown file after trying to save to wave, you may have an ac3 or other audio format. You only need to convert to audio if you have audio or synch problems after converting to TMPGEnc.
    Hello.
