which CD-R's to use?

I have a Kenwood DV-403 DVD player that has the capability to play VCD. But I was told that you have to have certain brands of CD-Rs for the DVD player to play them. I have gotten VCDs that didn't work before. Can I find this information here? Thanks for any help.

Check under DVD players, sometimes folks put the specific brands they use....
