  1. Avi to Mpeg1 conversion, tmpge,sound but no picture help!!!
    i am trying to convert a video from avi to mpeg,
    but when i try to convert it i get sound but no picture,
    i have tried this with tmpge and nero, but no luck
    please help.

  3. I'm having the same problem, I can view the .avi files fine but when I convert to mpg the screen is just black with the sound playing. This happens for all of my files but one and I've tried almost all the convertors on this page. I'm getting a bit frusterated, any ideas?

  5. I'm not sure exactally what it is that those settings are, if you could help me out I would really appreciate it. I've been using the newbie's guide and converting with TMPG mainly but have also tried the panasonic MPEG1 encoder and LSX MPEG encoder. If you have any help at all it would be wonderful, thanks a ton

    If that does not work try to change the codec reader settings in TMPGEnc under Option->Environmental settings->VFAPI plug-in and right click on the DirectShow Multimedia File Reader and increase the priority to 1 or 2 and try open the video.
