  1. hi all,

    Sorry to bother but i just recently had a problem with TMPEGenc. When im converting a movie file, no picture displays on the screen, even when i stop the encoding and check the file. The movie file was a DIVX and I placed the codec in the TMPEG folder, and that didnt help either. PLEASE HELP ME!!

    thanks

    It couldn't be, that you're using 2 (or more) pass VBR? In that case, nothing will show in the preview window (and no output will be produced) until last pass.

    VBR=Variable Bit Rate
    To make it brief, the encoder will, in VBR mode, take a look at the whole movie to determine where a high bitrate is best used, and where the picture will be fine even at a low bitrate. Depending on how the min, max and average bitrates are set, the encoder then use the bitrate most effectively, varying the bitrate according to its findings.
    During the pass(es) where TMPGEnc is examining the movie, nothing is shown.
