    Hi

Normally I back up my DVDs to 2 DVDRs by including only some of the VOB files on each disc.

This leaves me with half the movie on each disc and a full menu on each. However, I bought Beauty and the Beast on Tuesday and both versions of the movie seem to be interlaced.

I stripped the "angle" of the movie that I didn't want using IfoEdit and now I have the complete movie on a DVDR. The problem is: I don't have the original menu and the movie will only play in one of my players.

If I didn't want the original menu on my backup, I just would have copied to VHS,

I am a complete newbie at this. I can't seem to find any DVD to DVDR guides that don't require re-encoding which I'm not interested in.

I am desperate for help. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    go to this site:
    http://www.doom9.org/
go to the guides section and then dvd guides click ifoedit guides, and then click on "basic guide"
the basic guide explains how to keep just the movie and orginal menus using ifoedit.
