Some Questions......

Hi, I'm new at capturing. so here i go....

1st. I've got a Nvidia geforce 2, can i just add a capture card, and just use the capture card for capturing, i dont want to get rid of this already nice video card.

2. I want to capture from my sony camcorder., i'm getting the ATI all in wonder card.

3. I want to put on DVD-RW disc when all done. so the capture card. will put it to .AVI?

any help would be great.

1. Yes.

2. It's possible, but I remember reading about another forum member who had problems with those two cards. I think the motherboard couldn't handle two display cards. I suppose the only way to find out is to try, but you might as well get something cheaper than the ATI AIW.

3. If you do get the ATI card and get it to work, you can capture straight to mpeg or mpeg2. Personally, I don't like the quality, so I capture to avi and then convert to mpeg.
