  1. Hello..im new here, and i have ripp my first DVD ( Dinosaurier ) and burned it as a V-CD..now im looking for nice Tools..for Ripping and Convert the DVD's. I use at the Moment Smartripper + DVD2AVI + TMPGEncoder !! I have a Microboss DVD-Player...!! Please help me with somme Tips about ripping and Convert to SVCD in best picture qualitty...Thanx to all Ripping-Fan's !!!

    For the best SVCD quality you should checkout DVD2SVCD, but it requires that you have Cinemacraft Encoder($4000...).
    Or else you can almost use the same DVD2AVI method that you used for creating the VCD. In TMPGEnc you only load the SVCD template instead of the VCD. You must also need to change the bitrate so it's fits on 2-3 CDs.
    Say that you have a 110 minutes DVD video, then you can use our simple vcdhelp calc type in 110 min and you will get the average bitrate. Under Rate control mode you change to CBR and then use average bitrate under bit rate. Done.
