  1. Hello! I've been having good luck with recording from my ATI TV-Wonder card to VCDs, with one exception: in the finished VCD there are little skips or pauses in the video, of maybe half a second or less, every few minutes. The audio is fine and doesn't skip, and the sync is fine overall.

I've done some research and looked in all the FAQs and sifted through past forum stuff, but I haven't run across any discussion of this particular problem.

My setup: I'm capturing from the TV-Wonder card with ATI's Multimedia Center into MPEG-1. I edit with TMPGEnc, then burn to VCD with VCDEasy. The problem, as far as I can tell, lies with VCDEasy because TMPGEnc's output looks fine. I've also tried encoding the bin/cue with VCDEasy and then burning with CDRWin, and that doesn't solve the problem. Is there a setting I can try changing to try and fix this?

Thanks in advance for any advice!!

  2. I do not have the answer, but, I just burned a VCD on a CD-RW and I get some pauses too. I am thinking it is the media and will try a regular CD-R tomorrow.
