  3. Well.. virtualdub don't like mpeg2 files, and even if u get virtualdub to open your file i usually get problems when i try to Frameserve to Tmpgenc, audio syncproblems etc...Other talks about to convert the avi to mpeg2 with dvd2svcd and then add the subs with winsubmux.I'd like to try that, and i'm searching for a guide that tells me how ??
    Thanks anyway...

You may also add the subtitles to the AVI file before you frameserve to TMPGEnc. Using a wave file from Gold Wave to be used as an input audio to TMPGEnc when frameserving from VDub. But it is your video, so the choice ultimately is yours.

It's simple enough that it doesn't really need a guide. This produces selectable SVCD subtitles, so your DVD player has to support those.

Use MaestroSBT to convert your .ssa files to .sub + .bmp files.

    Open winsubmux.

Select your input .mpg and set your output .mpg filename.

Select your .sub file and "Load All" to make sure you get no errors.

    Multiplex.

Author and burn in Nero (VCDEasy doesn't seem to work reliably with subtitles).
