Which version of avisynth is best to use? I see that it's branched now (unless controlled at sourceforge and hopping from author to author). This thread mentions two different betas for v1 from different authors:

So is it best to just go with the highest revision? I would just stick with the 1b3 from Ben (original author) but the premiere plugin is matched to 0.3 so it's rather inconvenient. On the other hand, I don't know how branched the development is with the new folks working on different versions.
Thanks...

Have fun !!!
Fortunatley this site discusses most of these versions though -
1.0 beta 6 is a stable release. It is the last version, that Mr.van Eggelen realeased before the Sourceforge project Avisynth2 got started.
Version 2.06 seem to be a stable version too, although I did not test all the new filters yet. I can not recommend v1.0 beta3, it is somewhat buggy.
The premiere plugin 0.28beta37 or one of the videoserver plugins should work with one of the newer versions as well.

2.06 is very well tested, has all new features and an (un-)installer, too.
I don't know of a reason to use an older version anymore.
