    So what is the best util for the job?

    I have tried to de multiplex with TMGenc but the aidio would not play in winamp.

    I want to burn the audio to disk for track or even better mp3 for listening to.

    whats the best solution to this, needs to be decent quality.
    Can anyone help?

    I would try using VirtualDub. Thats the one i use the most and its seems to work good.

    when i try and open my mpeg files i get this error 'MPEG import filter: pack synchronising error'



    any otehr tools anyone?

    TMPGEnc can extract to wav. Just go to File-->Output to File-->WAVE File
