i'm trying to play a vcd on my dvd player, and it plays fine on my pc however when i put the disc in the player it won't play claiming it to be an mp3 disc.

i've explored the disc on the pc and cannot even find a mp3 file on the whole disc.

Can anyone explain why this is happening, and how to get round it, keen to watch film, nothing on telly tonight.

    i am using a alba dvd 114

  2. Did you use Nero to burn the VCD, you did not just move over the mpeg1
    to the CDR?

Your DVD player seems to be a little wacko when it comes to VCD's

the disk was given to me so I realy don't know what it was burned with.

a load of other disks were in the batch and they all work fine, except this one, can't understand it.

  4. Open the CD (explore) on your PC, does it shows a couple of folders
    like the other VCD does?

Maybe this CD just have the MPEG file on it and you cold burn it with
Nero as a Standard VCD (if it was encoded near the VCD standard)
