  1. Ok guys, this is the thing: I am making VCDs out from the films I have here in my computer. And I was just wondering...

Am I supposed to make 1150kbps VCDs? I mean, do I HAVE to choose 1150 or can I make this number higher, since I want a better quality VCD? Does DVD Players with VCD support support a higher VCD bitrate? thx

  2. you find quality important, well i suggest you make SVCDs then, cuz they have much better quality than VCDs. and i won't look THAT much at the bitrate, you better go for a constant quality

btw, what program do you use? I sggest you use TMPG

    good luck

  4. Yes, could try something like 1500 (instead of 1150)

also check: "mpeg-1 video-CD (non standard)" in tmpgenc

    Turn Compliance off on Nero.

But you will fit less minutes on the CDR.

It may not play in your DVD player as it is not a standard VCD
(or it will play in yours but not in your friends player)
