    first attempt at playing with pioneer 104 i decided to try a vcd to dvd, i followed all the guides everything ok until i get to spruce up then when i try to load media i get "Temporal References in a GOP are out of sequence"

    So what am i doing wrong ? please help

    did it following the guides for vcd to dvd http://vcdhelp.com/vcddvdr.htm using tmpgenc, joining the 2 aversq's together using vcdgear gui then back to tmpgenc for audio conversion,end up with 2 files .m1v & .mpa then on to spruceup

  4. Hmm, ok. I would guess there is something about your original VCD encode that spruce up doesn't like. A couple of things you could try depending on what tools you have available.

    I have done VCD on DVD with Dazzle DVD complete. Not the best authoring package in the world, but does work for this.

    You could also try MyDvd 2.3 (Not 3.0) as this seems to work also.

    Or you could always re-encode your VCD with TmpGenc, using a standard template. Takes a lot of time and may reduce quality slightly.
