  1. Well never had this problem before i bought a dvd but i bought it from a movie rental store. Now when i try to rip it, it gets to the 3rd vob file and freezes for a long time and wont rip the dam thing. And over in red where it says bad blocks, gives me a high number like 80 is there anyway to rip these films. I dont get it if these are unrippable then why wouldnt the people that sell the movie make all films like this. Any help would be great thanks

  2. no such thing as unrippable... make sure the bottom isn't scratched...even a little dust and dirt might throw of your dvd-rom, especially if it's an old one

also, when playing the dvd right before you're about to rip it, try skipping to the last (or second-to-last chapter) and play it for couple of seconds, so that the later vobs can also be ripped...i sometimes find this helpful when the later vobs seem to be "stuck"

I agree with the previous post. Same thing just happened to me today. I cleaned the DVD and SmartRipper had no problems after that.
