Hi
I've been burning VCD & SVCD for a while now - around 50 movies.
Mpeg file plays fine but playback on DVD however can be jerky.
The movies are watchable...just annoying sometimes.
I am often converting files from 29fps to 25fps as I use PAL templates in TMPGenc.
Is this the likely reason for the constant jerking/jumping ?
If so any suggestions to get around this please.
Thanks.

TMPGEnc is not the best tool to convert NTSC/NTSCFilm to PAL as it can cause jerky playback as in your case. Use Avifrate to change the Video frame rate and then Audio editing tool like BeSweet or CoolEdit to downsample your audio to match the length of Video. Then load the files separately in TMPGEnc and encode as you normally do.
