  1. I am newbie to all of this stuff. I have a Matshita DVD ROM.

I recently deleted a load of files on my hard drive to make space for DVD ripping.

Now, my PC (running Windows 98 ) recognises my E drive (DVD drive) but whenever I go to play a DVD it wont!! Power DVD says:

    "ASPI for Windows not available!
    Only 32-bit CD-ROM driver supported.

Please make sure 32-bit CD-ROM driver installed."

    and WIN DVD simply says

    "No CD/DVD ROM device avilable"

What have I done and how can I correct it? Have I lost my DVD player?
    PLEASE PLEASE HELP!! Many thanks.
