    morning,

    bonJovi,
If you have Satalite, all this month, they are showing:
Bon Jovi - in Concert (Fri/Sat/Sun)
on FREEVIEW. FREEVIEW is a Music In High Places that DirecTV provides, and I think
they are the ones who actually produce it. I'm assuming this, cause at times, while
they are producing the FREEVIEW, the singers will mention DirecTV every so often, and
not so call, pre-record them mentioning it.
I've seen HBO using DirecTV's FREEVIEW for a while when DirecTV stopped airing it
    some months ago.
The first Music In High Places began w/ Allisa Morresat (if I'm spellin git correctly)
She did the first MIHP back in Nov 2001 I believe and it was in the Grand Canyon and
VERY nice. Also, ALL the MIHP are usually Accoustic only! So, if you like Accoustic'lly
formed bands, even the hard rocks will Accoustic their work for specials as
FREEVIEWS, like the "Def Tone", then this is the channel to watch Channel 103.
Heck, maybe I'll post a sample of them. I love Accoustic'lly formed bands.
Watching them is even more entertaining 8) but about the only time they aren't
Accoutic is when they are showing clipings of the band (any) like they did w/
"Def Tone" I wish I had more webspace, but at 20MB's its not enough to storea 3min
video clip unless I break it up into segments. Anyways...
It would be interesting to see them perform Accoustically, though I'm not a fan, he,
he... Sometimes, you find that when you DIDN'T like a band prev. you find you like
them now. So, let me check them out sometime today or when I get the chance 8)

Well, I didn't exactly help did I? Sorry!
But, do a search via Google.com for "recording" and "asx" and see what
apps they show, that will ALLOW YOU to actually record/store them on
your hard drive for later re-encode.

    Sorry, made a mistake above. . .
    UPDATE:
Bon Jovi - in Concert and some interviews (Fri/Sat/Sun)
Goo Goo Dolls Music In High Places, showing in Alaska (Fri/Sat/Sun)

  3. get streambox vcr, paste in the url of the asx file and itll give u an asf file output. u can then convert that using TMPGenc. but if TMPGenc says its no good, get asf tools and "repair" the file. that file will for sure work in TMPGenc. can u tell ive done the exact same thing recently? it took me forever to figure this out!

Hi, Just for the hell of it

I used ASFRecorder and captured the file
    mms://213.248.114.82/universal/bonjovi_nm1097/bon_jovi_high.wmv

Then used GraphEdit to convert it to AVI....
