I'm trying a stack of 'em as we speak. I didn't get them quite as cheap as some here (paid $69.99 for 50), but no biggie there.

Burned my eighth OptoDisc DVD-R so far, using either ReplayTV/DVArchive/WombleMPEG2VCR/DVDComplete or VirtualDub/TMPGencPlus/DVDComplete, and have had NO problems with disc images as big as 4.2GB.

That's more than I can say for VivaStar and Memorex, both of which lock up in my DVD player toward the end of the movie unless the disc size is less than 3GB.

  8. well i produce dvds and sell them.ive sold about 300. optodisk worked in the beginning in about 60 % it seemed. i also had errors and made coasters . i decided to find a dependable media instead of cheap media.
i settled on memorex dvd-r, ive sold over 200 of those and not one compatability issue! not one.
the thing for me is optodisk will work in my players and seem to be a stable media but my precious momentas recorded and put away are very valuable to me, so im scared in 10 years i may have a player that wont take it or i may have family members that cant play it. anyway ive found memorex very reliable and i stick with it. around 3 bux a disk

  9. dens18, I was able to play optodisk in my rv31 and it plays ok. I always get 1 or 2 scene that will pixelate but that's about it.... but I tried riteck and they are much better for my rv31 no break up or anything and that is good enough for me ......

    hope that helps you out

  11. Help,

I bought some OPTODISC media and it works great on my standalone DVD players. I tried to play them on my PC DVD and they will not play. My PC DVD will read data disks but will not recognize the home movie DVD's I created with my pioneer A04 or Panasonic EMR20.

Why won't these play on my PC?
