    I am trying to convert from mpeg2 to vcd. I am able to re-encode the video with the plug-in installed but i can't open the original mpeg2 file in the audio section. Is there another way to extract the audio from the mpeg 2 file ? or is there a better way all together ?

    You can load the original video into Gold Wave and save the file as a Wave file.

    i just read how to multiplex the original mpeg2 audio in with the vcd video....everything seem to look like it works now..
