  1. I have created a DVD project in DVD Workshop. I cannot afford to use DVD media to distribute the project. I had planned to put it on CDR as its small and does not need DVD capacity.

It relys on menu layers and other DVD features so SVCD won't do.

While I was testing, I used my Laptop DVD drive to run the project. No bother, happy days. When I started putting it in DVD players, the CDs were rejected and would not play.

I have now had a horrible thought that DVD files on CDR will not run on DVD players. Please let me know if there is anything I can do.

I've done this with Ulead Video Studio. My set top DVD actually recognized the CD as a DVD, but both sound and video stuttered badly - probably (I later learned) becuse the CD/DVD reader couldn't handle to pull data off the CD at DVD bitrate - As someone pointed out, there's about 12 mins worth of DVD spec bit stream to a CD-R (800MB), and many DVD reader can't handle that from a CD-R
