AUDIO SYNC PROBLEM

I have just download a dvdrip of "crossroads" I have converted it to SVCD with TMPGEnc, The Problem Is That The Audio Starts to go out of second 3/4 of the way through! i have tried saving audio as direct stream copy and full processing mode with virtual dub, to no satisfaction! could the fact im altering bit rate of SVCD to fit onto 2 cd's make the audio go out of sync!

Hi

The sound is probably variable bit rate
use extenal tool toolame(freeware) to convert the sound
it seems to work
