Author your video and two audio streams separately. Multiplex all three together either in bbmpeg, I-Author, or TMPGEnc using its simple multiplex option in mpeg tools.

I tryed with TMPGEnc. First, in simple multiplex that operation is impossible since you can specify only a single audiosource. So I went to multiplex, added the 3 files (the video only and 2 stereo sound files). Everything went smooth.
But... When playing that CD at home, only one of the sound files can be heard. When I press the äudio button of my Philips 623, it says :
Audio 1/4 MPEG2 4CH ... something like that. So on 1/4 and 2/4 I hear the first sound file (in fact a little bit different, maybe those are its left and right channels). On 3/4 and 4/4 it's just silence.
    Any suggestions ?

My suggestion is to use bbmpeg. TMPGenc has problems in general with multiplexing mpeg2. You can find a link to bbmpeg in the tools section and a guide on how to use it in the EDIT section, its the cutting guide but just ignore the cutting part and it tells you everything you need to know.

My suggestion is to always use bbmpeg for multiplexing mpeg2 regardless of how many audio tracks you are using.

  5. It seems more that your player assumes 4 mono channels instead of 2 stereo. Maybe there is a setting on the player?
