  1. Hello all,
i have a movie as a ".avi" file which plays good on the computer with sound and video over the Windows Media Player version 9 beta. The thing is when i try to convert the avi file to a VCD or SVCD (mpeg format) for what im using TMPGEnc version 2.53.35.130 i only have the video track but no audio track so after the converting i only have the video but no sound on the movie. Also i tryed to get the audio file with Virtual Dub Beta 2.2 so i can mux all together with TMPGEnc which doesnt work either because Virtual Dub is not able to read the ".avi" file which i want to convert. Now i dont know what to do to get the avi file converted to a useable mpeg foramt

  4. Hi again,
when i load the file into Virtual Dub it works but then when i try to save the audiotrack as wave file this message appears:" The requested audio compression is not compatible with the input format.Check that the sampling rate and channel count of the input match those of the requested format " .Thats what it is saying when i try to get the audiotrack over with Virtual Dub version 1.4.7 and not Version 2.2 Beta sorry my mistake.

Why not see if you can load it into TMPGEnc and see if you can save the audio that way. Or load it into Gold Wave as well?
    Hello.

likly it is a ac3 file and you will need to convert to a mpa file ..

extract the ac3 file with v-dub or some other app and then use besweet and convert the ac3 to mpa (mp2) .. mux that file with the video file you made earlier -- mux it with tmpgenc ..
