  1. I'm really confused with this. I've got Dune here with 29.97fps but my TV is not Multinorm so if I convert this to NTSC VCD I get only black/white.
I've used VirtualDub to save the video-stream with 25fps, stored the audio-stream as a wave, opened it with CoolEdit and slowed it down corresponding to the length of the video-strem, encoded it with tmpgenc and:
    a) the video is not really smooth
    b) the audio is NOT in sync (dunno why)
    c) the audio is low-quality (some kind of chirping (I don't know the exact english expression for that, but I think it's because I've chosen low-quality in CoolEdit for the audio stretching (But even with low-quality the audio stretching took a looooong time).
Is there any reasonable method of conversion which doesn't take so much time, keeps video and audio in synch and with good audio and video quality?

    thx

  2. i was just wonder why not converting your frame rate in TMPGEnc this would save some time and the quality is the same, also if your audio is off synch what you have to do is
to go TMPGEnc >file>TMPGE tools> simple multiplex
and after this is done go bbmpeg and mux video and audio
You are all set to go
    good luck
