Hello,
I have an apex1500, using cdrw that I have used many times before. I have also successfully burned many xvcds.
My problem:
Rat Race divx source
Use vdub to increase volume, save as uncompressed wav file
Use tmpgenc to encode with avi as video source, wav as audio source
Use NERO with non-standard vcd option.
Result-
Nice, smooth video playback, but choppy audio.
I have converted the audio to 44,100, and encoded at 128kbps mpg layer II. Funny thing is, the audio goes back in sync after the 'glitch' which is a very quick pause in sound. I have tried numerous audio options, all with the same result.
Any ideas?

I'll assume that neither the uncompressed WAV or .mp2 files display these audio anomolies?
Have you tried encoding the audio at 160? mabye the player has a problem ith extremely low bitrate .mp2.

Thanks for the reply.
The wav files play properly in WMP, as does the vcd mpg file. Its only when I burn to cd and play in the DVD player that the anomoly occurs.
I will try the higher bitrate as you suggest.
