For a 6 minute video clip (vhs to tv capture card), I'm losing around 64 frames. Is this acceptable? Sometimes the audio wont match the video (cars burning their tires etc...). I use a Savage S3 2000 Video card (64mb) and onboard audio. What is this DMA Enabled stuff I hear about?
Thanks

How many total frames have you captured when you dropped 64 of them? What program were you using?
Hello. -
Not necessarily. If you are satisfied with the results. If you think you should be doing better, you may want to check to see it your hard drive is DMA enabled by going to device manager.
Also, capturing can be improved by using two hard drives, one for your programs, the other for the captured file. You may also make sure you are doing nothing on your computer during the capture, except of course, capturing, ensuring only the capture program is the only one running.Hello.
