I've problems to syncronize the subtitle with the movie in DVDMaestro. When I look at the *.son file generated with SubRip 1.07, the timestamps looks ok. But when they are imported into DVDMaestro they are not the same as I could read in then *.son file?
I've ripped a dvd movie with DVD2VCD and used CCE to reduce size. The syncronisation between the audio and the video are just fine when played back. The movie are in PAL.
Any ideas what could be the problem?

look at the time line of the movie ... is it set to be zero based or asset based ?
ussually you will want to set it to asset based .. you can also enter an offset to line up the subtitles if they are all off the same amount.
