  1. I'm trying (for the first time) to convert a Divx file of approximatly 730 MB to MPG2 DVD format to burn it on a DVD and play on standalone DVD player. I both tried with TmpGEnc and Pinnacle Studio 8. In any case I get a result file size of 8 GB. What am I doing wrong ?

    Thanks a lot!

  3. I'm loosing something... I read the hints on conversion and I tried to modify the bitrate to decrease the result file size. Nevertheless with any kind of setting I never went under 6 GB.
What more have I to check ?

If you are using 2-pass or cbr under rate control mode it should be about the size you have calculated or the size tmpgenc wizard have calculated.

If you are authoring with dvdit se or mydvd remember that it converts all audio to uncompressed pcm so then it will increase a lot.
