  1. Hi!! If anyone can help me, I'd really appreciate it. I am trying to take a large MPG ( VCD format ) file and edit it ( or cut it ) into little pieces ( or chapters if you will ) in order to make a VCD with chapters ( and a nice menu w/NERO ). What program can help me "edit" the MPG file? I tried TMPGENC but it only works ( and very good I might add ) with my AVI's. Thanks in advance.

To make "real" chapters you dont need to cut the mpgs at all but you cant use nero then, http://www.vcdhelp.com/author#menu

  3. Cutting the MPG is unneccessary for making a VCD with chapters. Simply load your Mpeg into Virtualdub. Search your mpeg for the spots you want chapters to be. When you see a point you wish to make a chapter skip, write down on a piece of paper the frame number of the chapter location. After you find and write down all your spots, open VCDEasy(obtain it from this site if you don't have it), and load your Mpeg into it. Then, after it loads, select the button that says Chapters. Then on the line that reads "Create a Chapter at frame" place the frame number of the chapter skip you wish to add and hit the OK button next to it. Repeat this step until all of your chapters are added. Then(unless you want to add menues as well), press go & burn your VCD.
