  1. What is the best way to convert from DVD to VHS?

I have both the Apex AD-3201 dvd player (hackable via remote) and the HP DVD-Writer DVD200i drive with a NVIDIA Geforce4 MX 420 with TV-out.

Do I need an RF adapter? Also, do I need a video and an audio cable?

    Thank you in advance.

Hmmmm....maybe I am missing something more here, but sounds like a simple hook video & audio cables fron DVD to VHS and hit play and record. Hopefully DVD player is macrovision free or picture will be screwed up or VCR will not record at all.

  3. Like stated above if your apex is hacked with no macrovision just plug it in strait to your VHS this would be your best bet and you would get the best result.

  4. Previously, I was not getting a picture from the DVD player because I did not choose the video input source.

I disabled the macrovision and selected region code 9 on the DVD player.

However, I cannot record on VHS from DVD. When I play the recorded VHS, I get nothing but static.

    What am I doing wrong?

  5. Have you ever recorded using this input port on the
VCR with some other video equipment?

On my Panasonic I could only select "video-in 1" with the remote.

    So read the manual.

  6. Thank you all for your help.

I believe the macrovision hack will not work until I get a firmware upgrade.

There seems to be a lot of info. re: this topic at:

    Thanks again.
