When I start up SmartRipper it tells me that I have ASPI but the ASPI has no access to the drive (my DVD-ROM) and it says "switch to WinIO". What do I do? Can I still rip?

well... hmm, i think your problem is the installation of your drive... Or you have not connected it correctly OR you have setted the wrong configuration of your DVD drive... (by that i mean, you setted the drive as MASTER and you installed it as SLAVE) (he, i had the same problem, and after messing a while, it all came allright(after reading the boring manual))
I hope i helped ya...
