  1. Hi all, i was just wondering if people have had experience with Verbatim DVD-R's, they have a nice sale at Best Buy and am thinking about getting a spindle, i know a lot of people in the PS2 backup scene swear by them how are they for Video, any comments would be appreciated.

  3. I am sure they are good, but they seem a little pricey ($42.99 for 15) if I am looking at the same deal you are.

For that kind of money you can get 50-spindle of DVD-R silver tops at www.CD-DVD-SUPPLIES.com I have had very good luck with them.

You can also get 20 OPTO-DISC DVD-RWs for $40 at www.newegg.com. Also have had good luck with them.

  4. Well all things considered i think its a good price, there's no real comparison in price with good media and crap media, id rather get good media to ensure good burns.

  5. I just purchased the 15 pack spindle of the 2x Verbatim medium from BB. $42 with tax less the $7 rebate gives a price of around 2.33 per disk. I did find 2x media online for around $2 but that was for a spindle of 50 or more.

I've burned 6 of the 15 so far, no coasters. I've tested the disks on a Hitachi PC DVD-rom drive without problems (I don't have any stand alone DVD players to test on).

I think it's the best retail store deal you will find on 2x media and may be the best you'll find online. Too bad you only qualify for one rebate per household.

If you haven't already I'd check the DVD-R media ratings under the Other category of the site.
